UrbanTide has significant cross-sector experience, dating back to the £24m Future City Glasgow programme in 2012. We have since developed uSmart our SaaS product, and are currently expanding our AI portfolio across Transport, Government, Energy and Housing. We have a growing team which are headquartered at the Bayes Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland's AI hub.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our Transport sales and grow our partnerships.  

About the position

We seek an experienced sales manager to grow sales of our transport product uMove.  This will include engaging with our existing national and local government customers, growing our sales pipeline, and working collaboratively to evolve the product with new features and AI innovations.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Drive sales, expand the customer base and generate new revenue
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with current customers
  • Evolve the uMove sales strategy as we scale across the UK and beyond 
  • Fully manage the uMove end-to-end sales pipeline and drive predictability of revenue
  • Contact potential prospects from personally-generated insights to help build relationships and a robust sales pipeline
  • Lead in-person and remote customer presentations, including product demos and new feature sessions
  • Engage with prospective customers to understand their pain points and develop compelling business cases to meet their needs
  • Lead the draft responses to published opportunities (ITTs, PQQs, and proposals)
  • Hire, train and lead a team of high-performing sales representatives as we scale
  • Work with our product team to ensure successful onboarding and implementation for new customers
  • Leverage our CRM data to construct, forecast, and manage sales activity and drive the pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals
  • Collaborate with our product teams and provide feedback from the field to help shape future development
  • Work closely with the leadership team to provide input on the growth of the business and align revenue strategy with overall company objectives

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 5+ years in B2B / Enterprise software sales with an emphasis on SaaS and Transport related sales experience
  • Experience with both inside and outside sales, including lead generation and outbound prospecting
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota with references from previous companies
  • Passion, drive and the desire to be a part of a growing team that makes a difference for both the company and our clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate value propositions and technical information to a range of audiences
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial work environment where self-motivated individuals succeed
